Monkaaba

The Why

Monkaaba is a new project led by experienced coffee growers in San Agustin. Partnering with Semilla, they're working to connect producers of all backgrounds to the specialty market and coffee education, hosting weekly cupping sessions and building relationships locally and abroad.

This pink bourbon was grown by Diego Hoyos and his partner Lucy, two young producers committed to a future in specialty coffee. To us, this coffee tells a story of doing meaningful work with your friends. Truly a founding ethos of espy, we're so excited to continue expanding our community up and down the value chain with the help of Semilla and projects like Monkaaba.
